This knife is made from a railroad spike and was 100% hand-forged. I twisted the handle and ground down the head of the spike some to shape it the way you see it now for a unique look.
NOTE:
Railroad spike knives are not made from high carbon steel but rather medium grade carbon steel which does not get as hard as high carbon steels that knives are usually made of. They are considered “novelty” knives by many in the industry. These knives are sharp enough to use as a great utility knife for opening boxes and every day things around the house. They will dull quicker than high carbon steel knives and will need to be resharpened more frequently.
